Jira works the same way as Linear: people attach issues to their Workspaces, and Soffi works from them. The differences are in setup, where you choose which Jira site and projects Soffi can read.
One tracker at a time
Your Organization can connect Linear or Jira, not both. While one is connected, the other's card says Unavailable and its Connect button is turned off. To switch, disconnect the one you have first.
The rule keeps things predictable. Every issue people attach, and every issue Soffi looks up, comes from one place, and nobody has to wonder which tracker a ticket key belongs to. Switching doesn't happen silently, because issues already attached to Workspaces would stop resolving.
Connect Jira
Start the connection
Open Integrations in the left rail and choose Connect on the Jira card. Atlassian asks you to sign in and authorize Soffi.
Pick a site
If your Atlassian account can see more than one Jira site, choose the one to use with Use this site. With a single site, Soffi picks it and skips this step.
Choose which projects Soffi can read
Select the Jira projects your team works in. Soffi reads issues only from the projects you choose, and that limit applies to searches, attachments, and Soffi's own lookups.
When it's done, the card shows Connected with the site's name. To change the site or the projects later, reconnect Jira from the card's menu and choose again.
Soffi asks Atlassian for read access only: your Jira issues and projects, and basic user details such as assignee names. It never changes an issue or posts to one.
Editors can see whether Jira is connected; only Admins and the Owner can connect, reconnect, or disconnect it.
Attach issues to a Workspace
Attaching works as it does for Linear:
- The Ticket field when you create a Workspace, which searches your issues or takes a pasted issue link, up to 25 per Workspace.
- Attach Jira issue in Soffi's message box.
- The Jira panel in the Grid layout, where you can browse, filter, and preview issues.
Soffi reads each attached issue's description, status, assignee, labels, links, and most recent comments. When you Ship, the pull request's description lists the attached issues.
Disconnect or reconnect
Use the menu on the Jira card. Disconnect deletes the access Soffi holds for your Jira site, and Soffi stops reading from it. To remove the authorization on Atlassian's side as well, revoke Soffi from your Atlassian account's connected apps.
If the Jira panel says the connection needs attention, an Admin should reconnect. If Jira is getting too many requests, the panel says so and retries on its own; reconnecting won't help.
